An evolution of the Cuban ”Raspadura” cajones that are used in rumba instead of - or as a complement to - congas, these Conga-Cajones - as opposed to the Cuban ones - sound incredibly similar to real congas. The difference is that the VALTER Conga-Cajones have a much more powerful bass and are much more playable than conventional congas. Thanks to the two sound ports at the base, the bass sound comes through loud and clear even when the drum stands directly on the floor. The 3mm thick ”wooden skins” are pre-tuned and do not get out of tune from temperature changes, which makes them ideal for outdoor gigs and use at schools, for instance. All three sizes are equipped with a carrying handle.
