Cajones since 1997

Valter Percussion was founded by musician and percussion designer/builder Valter Kinbom back in 1997. Valter and started to build instruments in his parents garage on Ekerö, Stockholm, Sweden.
A couple of years earlier he had left the drumkit playing for different percussions and other instruments and he dreamed of so many instruments that he couldn´t afford so he started to build them him self.
It turnd out quite successful - the second cajón was bought of one of the most famous percussionists in Sweden - Rafael Sida - and then the rumor started to spread.
Today - after ten years of cajón building and experimenting with different materials, dimentions , Valter knows how to make the boxes sound as he wants and how to make them as playable as only Valter Percuission Cajones are.
