SUNDRUM™

Briefly we describe it as a tunable 12-tone wooden "tongue drum". It is the result of 8 years of experimentation and we are very proud to present it to you.

Its sound and musicality is influenced by African music, specifically Cora, Mbira and balafon playing. The Sundrum™ is a circular and tunable marimba similar to the "tank drum" but instead of steel it is made out of wood, giving it a shorter sustain and a drier timbre. This makes it possible to play faster and more rhythmic melodies without the notes blurring together as much. Also, the innovative patent pending tuning system gives you the possibility to tune it to any scale – so instead of carrying one instrument for each scale now you have them all in one unit…
