The design of the Dropdrum™ allows for lots of sounds and different uses. One of the unique aspects of this design is that it has a bass reflex tube that leads the bass sound upwards so that it comes out toward the player. Therefore, The bass sound can go into the same mic as the head/playing surface sound. Thanks to the bass reflex tube it has a vibrant bass sound and together with the conga-like sounds from the head, this makes it a perfect substitute for a lot of different drums like conga/djembe/timbao.
It can be mounted on a normal snare stand, positioned between the knees like bongo drums, or placed over the lap and fastened under the legs with the included strap.
